Mental Health Month Candlelight Vigil
ARAFMI Hunter hosted an ecumenical service and candle lighting at Christ Church Cathedral on October 29 to show love and respect for those touched by mental illness and their families. The evening included a performance by choir ‘Under Construction’, guest speakers and supper. Seven candles were lit representing truth, healing, understanding, hope, thankfulness, faith, love. Jodie Harrison MP and Sharon Claydon MP attended the service.
Breakfast at Nelson Bay
The Parish of All Saints Nelson Bay held a yummy breakfast following their morning service. The food looks delicious!
Kindergarten Orientation Day
Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College welcome new friends at Kindergarten Orientation Day last week. A great morning was had by all, meeting new faces, playing games and sharing a delicious morning tea together.
The Parish of Beresfield-Thornton gathered for All Souls for mass and the reading of the names of those who have died who are special to us at our old parish cemetery.
The Parish of Denman gathered for the All Saints service this week on November 5, celebrating with prayers of thanks and candle light in memory of our loved ones.
Wallsend Parish Sunday school decorated candles to use in prayer for our departed loved ones for All Saints.
Country night at Telarah-Rutherford
The Parish of Telarah-Rutheford celebrated with a country night in the parish hall with Bob Easter. Plus the parish held a mass and picnic at Campbell’s Hill cemetery to celebrate the Feast of All Souls.
