Blessing of the Animals
The Parish of Dungog held a special Blessing of the Animals on Sunday October 29. It was a wonderful morning with a variety of pets attending along with their humans, with some animals there by photo. The parish gave thanks for these special companions who share our lives and teach us to care. The parish came together for a BBQ after the service.
All Saints, Nelson Bay came together for a family event to celebrate Oktoberfest 2017. The parish enjoyed German music and food. Check out their marvelous outfits.
Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College students raise over $2,000 for CanTeen
Congratulations to all Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College students and staff for raising over $2,000 for CanTeen this week. CanTeen provide valuable support to young people suffering with cancer and their families. They also organised a barbecue lunch to raise funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation to assist them with bringing joy and comfort to hospitalised kids and their families.
Outstanding Teachers at MVAC
Congratulations to Mr Andrew Diessel, Teacher in Charge of IT, and Mrs Jeed Field, Japanese Teacher, from Manning Valley Anglican College who have been awarded Outstanding Teacher Recognition awards by the Australian Council of Educators. These awards are presented to teachers who posses excellent teaching and pastoral care skills and display absolute diligence and enthusiasm to the students they teach. The awards were presented at a special function at Port Macquarie with only a select few receiving recognition. Congratulations to both Mr Diessel and Mrs Field on being recognised for your efforts on World Teachers Day.
Kindergarten 2018 at MVAC
Manning Valley Anglican College had a fun filled morning with their Kindergarten 2018 students. They enjoyed a morning of craft, story telling and singing with Mrs Baker.
Thanksgiving at New Lambton
The Parish of New Lambton had a Thanksgiving Cake (pumpkin) for the October Birthdays on Sunday. Arthur Copeman & Joan Nicholson shared their thanks for a good life and church fellowship.

Apis Te Halloween
Apis Te youth group had a fun Friday night at Cessnock using bandages to make mummies and learning some first aid techniques at the same time. They also had a haunted story and learnt a little about Halloween connections. The night was topped off with birthday celebrations for one of their leaders.
