 Students plunge into Sea-farers

The Mission to Seafarers welcomed 14 students who are involved in the Plunge program, a one year discipleship and leadership program for 18-23 year olds provided by Morling College. Plunge helps young people grow their relationship with God and reach out to their local and global communities. They enjoyed a tour of the Port of Newcastle, went onto a coal ship, and met some seafarers on their ship and at the Mission. MTS Senior Chaplain, Fr Garry Dodd, gave a brief presentation about our work at the Mission as we care for visiting seafarers and enable them to enjoy some refreshing time ashore. The students’ enthusiasm for life was impressive!
