Keble Celebration at the Cathedral
Christ Church Cathedral held a Keble Celebration on July 13. Bishop Peter presided at the celebrated Eucharist and Scott Cowdell (Canon, Prof and Dr!) preached at the Eucharist and spoke at the dinner to follow.
Mass & Meal at Cardiff
The Parish of Cardiff held another great Mass & Meal night, learning about Mary Magdalene and remembering that Jesus calls us by our name. Special thanks to Sue for some awesome craft! Plus the Mothers’ Union were priveleged to hear from guest speaker The Rev’d Greg Colby.
Messy Church at Muswellbrook

Area Deanery Meeting at Stroud

Anglican Care Luncheon
The Anglican Care CEO, Colin Osborne, hosted a fantastic lunch at the Kilpatrick Court Café recently for a number of their special staff members who were being formally recognised for their ongoing contribution to Anglican Care and the care and support they provide to their residents and consumers. The six staff members were Janet Sykes, Britainy Howard, Toby Mills, Leonie Slee, Jacqui Culver and Trish Stowe. One of the things that these staff all have in common is their passion for assisting seniors to achieve the best quality of life possible.

Seafarers enjoy a taste of Australia
The Mission to Seafarers recently took a group of Seafarers to Blackbutt reserve on their first trip to Australia. They were so happy to see Kangaroos, Lyre birds, Koalas and to walk through with the surrounding families / children on school holidays. One and a half hours of positive change and joy for them was so apparent!

Barney’s Service at Mt Vincent and Weston
The Parish of Mt Vincent and Weston held a lovely Barney’s Service recently which saw families come together to worship and share a meal. The children enjoyed creating their own Abraham and stars crafts before heading outside to eat pizza and have a run around while adults had a chat. Plus, Barney’s Club started back term 3 last week – it was great to catch up and hear stories about the holidays. The club spoke about being a good friend and treating each other how they would like to be treated.
Patronal Celebrations at Telarah-Rutherford
The Parish of Telarah-Rutherford celebrated the feast of St Christopher, one of the patrons of their parish. “May we be inspired by the example of St Christopher and bear the Christ-child on our shoulders out into the community beyond our church doors.” Plus – Fr Chris ran a little over 4 hours in the Winery Marathon last weekend raising money for Aspect Hunter who do great work for kids living with autism. Well done Fr Chris … you are an inspiration!
