Samaritans
Headspace Maitland has welcomed its newest member to the team, 16 week old Melash! Melash is currently in training to become an accredited therapy dog and will work with Samaritans at the headspace centre to make sure the young people that visit headspace are comfortable. Melash is currently in intense training and makes frequent visits to the centre. Once accredited he will receive a vest that will identify him as a therapy dog.

Holy Trinity church held a lovely bring n share lunch this week on Trinity Sunday. Sharon played the piano and young David played a solo on his drums.
Parish of Mt Vincent and Weston
The lesson for this week’s Barney’s Club was taught by one of their very own children. She brought her Bible in and read about Adam and Eve, they made snakes and Adam and Eve’s. They then decided to jointly construct a tree.
Anglican Cursillo Newcastle
The 1st of 2 National Secretariat meetings for 2017 was held in Busselton, Western Australia, during the weekend 26-28 May. Our Diocese was represented by Co-Diocesan Lay Directors Lyn Carter and Brian Walsh. Mrs Marea Niland attended as a guest. At the Final Eucharist on Sunday, our Diocesan Spiritual Director, the Reverend Steve Niland was commissioned as the National Spiritual Advisor by outgoing NSA, the Reverend Sue Allen, from Bendigo Diocese.
