A great photo of the ladies of St Saviour’s Williamtown proudly holding their little flower posies on Mothering Sunday.
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Old Bar
On April 2, Bishop Peter celebrated the Holy Eucharist at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Old Bar. The Anglican congregation have been sharing this church for some years now. “This is the first time we have had one of our bishops visit Old Bar and probably the first time that an Anglican Bishop has conducted a Holy Eucharist in a Catholic church in this diocese. It is a practical application of the tri-diocescan covenant.”
Parish of Scone
Scone Parish celebrated Senior’s Week with a successful Hymnfest recently, welcoming the community into the church. Father Glen Hughes played the magnificent organ to lead a selection of hymns requested by our parishioners. There were two instrumental performances and Rev’d Angela shared the story behind some of the hymns to round out a very entertaining afternoon. Afternoon tea was served in the Church Grounds to the 80 attendees. It was a great way to end Seniors Week and we hope to have another hymnfest next year.
Parish of Telarah-Rutherford
Just another Saturday morning at the parish op shop.
Parish of East Maitland
It was lovely to see so many people at the parish Annual General Meeting held last week. The Annual Report reflected the extensive amount of work being done in the parish by so many people. “A very sincere thank you to all those who put in such an enormous effort to supporting Saint Peter’s Church, both now and into the future.”
Parish of Mt Vincent and Weston
A busy wet afternoon at Barney’s Club this week. They made their own play dough, played hover soccer, board games, duplo, heard a story about Jesus and Lazarus and made their own tomb with roll away stones and finished off with some octopus tag (which got a bit noisy in a hall of 12 children.)
Parish of Forster Tuncurry
Great pics from Forster-Tuncurry this week… An amazing collage showing how we let our light shine for God, babies enjoying puzzle time at a family friendly baptism and one of the children’s beautiful prayers straight from her heart!
Parish of Cooks Hill
A great photo of Rev’d Murray Woolnough with parishioners Liz and Mario. “Nice to know people care all the way round the world. Thank you,” Liz said.
Mission to Seafarers
The Seafarers were out and about in our town last week. They took a tour of the Memorial Walk, and others hired a bike to pedal around Nobby’s Beach area.
Parish of Harrington-Coopernook
Last week the parish welcomed Georgie May Cassar into God’s family through Baptism at St Peter’s Harrington. She is pictured here with her parents Peter and Cavell.
