This Week Around the Diocese
Parish of Wyong
The team from the Kyros course at St James’ Wyong this week.
Some of the residents at Anglican Care retirement living are super tech savvy – check them out taking a selfie at a recent function. Plus, the Christmas festivities have begun – a lovely lunch was held to celebrate Christmas on Friday and to thank all of the Anglican Care Hunter and Central Coast Volunteers for their tireless hard work throughout the year.
Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College
There has been a lot happening at BTAC this week: the third Kindergarten Orientation Session took place to welcome the 2017 Kindy students to the college; an exciting Book Fair was held – every book sold has contributed to improving the College Library; plus the youngest members of the college had their Preschool Orientation last week.
Parish of Beresfield-Thornton
The parish youth group had a wonderful weekend at Lostock. Check out this photo of them worshipping at with the Gresford-Paterson Parish.
Manning Valley Anglican College
A lovely afternoon was held at MVAC for the Kindergarten Transition session. New friends joined them for play time.
Parish of Williamtown Medowie Mallabula
A farewell was held at Holy Name for Locum Rev’d Ray Manuel. “Thank you for your encouragement and teaching”.
Parish of East Maitland
The Parish of East Maitland gathered for the Feast of Christ the King on November 20 for the end of year parish party – and also celebrated the birthday of the youngest member of the rectory household, Annabel Battrick’s first birthday. Plus some of the girls came together for bible study, prayer and afternoon tea.
“Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Bean Counters Ball to raise funds for Samaritans Student Accommodation! We look forward to continuing to help more young people like Kirsty, who gave a very inspiring speech about her experience with Samaritans at the event.”
