An amazing job done by our very own Rev’d Nate Atkinson, chaplain at Scone Grammar School, who ran 21.1 kilometres as part of Blackmore’s Sydney Half Marathon last September raising money and awareness for the Where There’s A Will charity! Well done!
“It’s important for us as a school to put our money where our mouth is and to not just support this local charity but really believe in it,” he said.
“Running a marathon can be seen as symbolic for mental health, so I think it was good for kids who live with mental fragilities to see someone use it as a metaphor.”
Student well being and mental health are important factors in Scone Grammar School’s ongoing pastoral care program.
