East Maitland
In preparation for Palm Sunday and Holy Week at Saint Peter’s Church, East Maitland, a hard-working group of volunteers from the Saint Peter’s community formed a working bee to decorate the Church. Palms were delivered early in the day and then transformed into palm crosses for distribution on Palm Sunday and affixed around the Church and at the main entrance. The work of the team was sincerely appreciated by the weekend congregations as they entered into Holy Week.

Fr Steve Niland led a moving service of Hymns and Readings for Passiontide at St John the Evangelist Raymond Terrace. The readings ranged from the gospel narratives to Leunig poems interspersed with choral pieces and congregational hymns. What a wonderful segue to Holy Week.
