Lambton Parish has continued to reach out to the community through a number of activities. One ministry with which they have had a continued presence over 20 years is through their playgroup.

Recently the parish, and some very lucky kiddies, were recipients of some new play equipment which was made possible by the Mayfield-Waratah sight impaired Lions Club who were able to secure a State Government grant.

It is clear by the photo that the children have found the new equipment to their liking.

Canon Rev’d Maree Armstrong, Rector of the Parish, has continued to provide support and encouragement for the playgroup which has an unshakably Christian foundation which is made very clear each Christmas and Easter.

The playgroup meets every Wednesday morning from 10am till noon. It performs the role of:

  • Providing play activities for children from ages 1 to 3.
  • Allows for friendships between children and between parents.
  • Creates an atmosphere of fun.
  • Provides an opportunity for grandparents to become involved.
