The Parishes of Wallsend and Singleton have been enjoying the company of their furry friends at their Blessing of the Animals services this week.
Plenty of dogs and a brave bunny attended the service for St Francis at St Luke’s Wallsend. The rectory retrievers Raffi and Penzi also enjoyed being a part of the liturgy and procession.
A variety of dogs, cats, chicks, a fish and a turtle attended the All Saint’s Singleton Messy Church Blessing of the Animals held over the weekend. The guests enjoyed some delicious food under the trees on what was a beautiful spring afternoon. The dogs even got some treats!
