Studying Theology

Newcastle School of Theology for Ministry (NSTM)

The Newcastle School of Theology for Ministry was established in 2006 to provide theological education for the training and formation of lay leaders in the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle. Since the Schools inception, hundreds of participants have been engaged in the programmes of the School.

University of Newcastle

The Anglican Diocese of Newcastle has confirmed an historic partnership with the University of Newcastle, with the University Council approving the Bachelor of Theology degree in March 2007.

The inaugural Morpeth Chair in Theology, Dr John McDowell commenced at the University of Newcastle in January 2009.
